Pauline Hanson Defends Legal, Licensed, Gun Ownership in Australia

After the tragic death of a family in the Margaret River after the grandfather took the lives of his wife, daughter and four grandkids, debate has come up again about our gun laws.Australia's gun licensing laws are some of the toughest in the world and this tragedy should not be used by people to say we need to further strip the rights of legal gun owners. We see more people murdered with knives and baseball bats than licensed gun owners in this country. No one can take away the tragedy of this event and there's certainly a lot of questions that need answering. Until then, let's not think taking people's guns away is the only answer to preventing this type of event.I'm always happy for people to have their say.#Auspol #OneNation #PaulineHanson #Australia #GunControl #NRA #Licencing #MargaretRiver

People, Not Firearms, The Issue

After the tragic death of a family in the Margaret River after the grandfather took the lives of his wife, daughter and four grandkids, debate has come up again about our gun laws.

Australia’s gun licensing laws are some of the toughest in the world and this tragedy should not be used by people to say we need to further strip the rights of legal gun owners.

We see more people murdered with knives and baseball bats than licensed gun owners in this country.

No one can take away the tragedy of this event and there’s certainly a lot of questions that need answering. Until then, let’s not think taking people’s guns away is the only answer to preventing this type of event.

I’m always happy for people to have their say.

I hear this, people, not guns are the problem, well of course, a trigger doesn’t pull itself!.
now ask yourself, if a person was to attack u, with either a gun or a knife, in which of these 2 scenarios would u have a better chance of evading?
If that grandfather had a knife instead of a gun, do u think at least one of those 6 people killed would have had a chance to escape?
there are thousands of responsible weapon owners, but there will be that one irresponsible one that will fall through the cracks, the best we can do is to put measures in place that ensures that that one lost soul, does to have a weapon capable of taking multiple lives in seconds.
