Sarah celebrating International Men’s Day (again)

Tickets are now available RSVP for One Nation MLC Sarah Game’s second International Men’s Day event, featuring an outstanding list of inspiring individuals, aimed at helping South Aussies celebrate the great men in their lives.

To be held at Morphettville Racecourse on Tuesday 19 November and co-hosted by Channel 7 TV presenter Mark Soderstrom, the event is themed “Celebrating Positive Male Role Models” and continues Sarah’s advocacy for men and men’s issues since being elected to the SA upper house in 2022.

Attendees will hear from:

Derrick McManus: Former sniper, diver, and counter-terrorist elite operative (STAR).

Jim Whalley AO: SA’s first Chief Entrepreneur and a former Air Force pilot.

Chris Burns: Defence veteran and CEO of the Hutt St. Centre.

Prof. Raj Shekhawat: Dean (Research) at Flinders University.

Sarah’s inaugural International Men’s Day event in 2023 was a huge success, embraced by the local community as an opportunity to recognise an otherwise under-appreciated and ignored demographic.

“The event is centred around positivity, gender equality, and men's health – so don't pass up this opportunity to show support for the men in your life and meet with like-minded others,” Sarah said.

Since being elected, Sarah has campaigned tirelessly for men’s issues, including repeated calls for the establishment of both an Office for Men, and a Minister for Men within the SA Government.

“I’ve also been able to secure over $300,000 of government funding dedicated to men’s health and will continue to advocate for the funding of men’s health initiatives for as long as I’m in parliament,” she said.

Sarah’s 2024 International Men’s Day celebration will feature a three-course dinner, guest speaker, and live entertainment, with opportunities for guests to mingle and network.

An in-house auction will be part of the evening, with proceeds going to the event’s partner sponsor, Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation, which will dedicate the funds to men's health initiatives.

Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30pm start (and 10pm finish).
