Pauline Hanson asks "Where is the drought relief money?"

I’ve been out in Roma for the last two days speaking with farmers, businesses, the council, and tourism operators from across the western parts of the state. The question on peoples lips is, “Where is the drought relief money” and “why is it so difficult for these genuine cases to get their hands on it”?There are two stories I heard today that I’d like to share. They’re extremely upsetting, but they’re real. Our politicians and the Australian public must know that the money is not reaching the people who need it during these desperate times. The Government and those tasked with the job need to lift their game because this is terrible!Call my office if you need assistance and my staff and I will do our best to get you the help you need. Good work, Pauline – one who is not afraid to speak about wrongs. You are the only politician to offer personal help! Number one on my list!

Hello Pauline, as a retired senior I have donated $250.00 to Buy A Bail Donation. First it was $150.00 then about 3 or 4 weeks later further $100.00. I am very upset and annoyed that my contribution did not reach our struggling farmers. I hope it has not been used corruptly. I heard a couple of weeks ago on 2GB radio, when Alan Jones asked this man, “What happened to the millions of dollars that have been donated towards our drought stricken farmers?” That man could not provide an answer. I did not expect this to happen in Australia. This is terrible. Eddie

What a disgrace this Government has become, The Farmers are desperate and all that relief money has been kept from them. Everyone needs to band together and demand something is done about this, it’s just not good enough, people’s lives are at stake here.

I am a third Generation farmer probably the hardest industry you’ll ever own all work in.But farmers are the backbone of this country without farmers we will not eat or function as a Country. As I grew up as a child on the farm my parents were asset rich and cash flow poor every time they save money so they could get a head a Drought would Destroy them financially and mentally one of the partners would have to get a off farm income to save the farm and have money to eat. This is what I had to do.we need to save your farmers Noel Snr Lehane
