Mike Kelly For Maranoa
Mike Kelly is a genuine bloke who’s keen to roll up his sleeves and work hard for his community. The business owner and philanthropist is ready to take the next step on this journey by standing as One Nation’s candidate for the regional Queensland electorate of Maranoa in the 2022 Federal election.
“I never really had an interest in politics but the COVID-19 pandemic has been a real wake-up call for me and a lot of people in the Maranoa community. It’s been alarming how quickly and easily Australian governments have been able to ignore or discard our individual rights and freedoms. It’s disturbing to see how much they’ve relished this power, and it’s frightening to see just how reluctant they are to give it up.
“People have had enough. Lockdowns and mandates have destroyed lives, jobs, and businesses. Pauline Hanson has been an inspiration in her efforts to fight for the rights and freedoms of the Australian people, and that’s one of the main reasons I’m standing for One Nation in Maranoa.”
Mike was born in the northern part of the giant Maranoa electorate. A father of two, he was general manager of a national real estate group and has run his own property business. Mike’s been recognised for developing innovative ‘lay-by’ products helping Australian families enter the property market and buy their own homes sooner, and he’s been an active philanthropist putting his profits back into his community. He was very active in relief efforts following devastating floods in the region a decade ago.
“I think a lot of people are tired of politics-as-usual. People are tired of governments wielding power over us when their real job is to wield power for us. That’s the essence of Australian democracy. That’s the approach of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation. That’s the approach of Mike Kelly too. I’ll be backing Pauline’s demand for a Royal Commission into the management of the COVID-19 pandemic by Australian state and federal governments. I’ll always fight for the rights and freedoms of the Australian people.
“We need to ensure foreign-owned multinationals operating in Australia pay their fair share of tax. We need to get immigration back to sustainable levels to relieve increasing congestion in our cities and take some heat of the housing market. We need meaningful reform in Australia’s broken family law system. We need fairer trade agreements that can’t be weaponised against us like China has done. We need an independent energy policy that isn’t held hostage by international climate zealots. We need a return to nation-building, long terms investments in the future of Australia.
“We need to put Australia and Australians first.”
