Sharon Bell was born 17th June 1965 to a truck driver father and factory worker mother with the daily struggles of the everyday middle working class. As a motivated and passionate Australian Sharon holds our Australian values highly and believes the return to a respectful and common sense approach to politics is long overdue.
Sharon has lived in the Blair electorate for 19 years after relocating from Hervey Bay with her husband and three children to better their working prospects. Sharon’s husband has worked locally in the manufacturing Industry for the past 18 years and Sharon’s 2 daughters are both involved in the Health Care Industry and recently her son joined the ADF. Her son participated locally from age 8 until 23 with the local Rugby League for Redbank Plains and later North Ipswich and ended his career with Ipswich Jets in the last 5 years of competition. Sharon has worked as an Estimating Assistant within the civil/construction industry for the past 19 years after undertaking her Biga Training Course in 2000.
“As a 3rd generation Australian I am deeply passionate and genuinely concerned for the future of our children and grandchildren. This has led me to the fundamental question, that being ‘how did we get here?’ With government placing immigrants, Political Correctness and foreign Aid and investment interest before our own veterans, pensioners, businesses and industries, and selling of our ports and prime agricultural land”
Sharon believes she has an understanding of the concerns of everyday Australian families and believes with her compassion and honest approach to politics, she will be able to relate to the people of the Blair electorate. Sharon has been a member of One Nation for many years and agrees with One Nation policies 100%. Of special importance to Sharon are policies on Timely Payment for Subcontractors and Small Business, United Nations and Trade Agreements, The Ice Epidemic, Family Law and Child Support, Immigration and pensioners, affordable Energy and Water infrastructure.
“For too long the major two parties have been focused on United Nation influence and Foreign Investors destroying our Industries, buying our prime agriculture land, ports, and utilities and decreasing our home affordability. We need a government which is willing to put Australian interest first. Affordable Energy, housing, water, trade agreements that are in Australis best interest, creating Jobs and Infrastructure”
While positioned within the civil/construction industry Sharon is presented the opportunity to communicate daily to subcontractors of all trades. This enables her to gain valuable and first hand insight into the issues facing small businesses, and particularly the immense financial pressure braved by these small and medium sized businesses who employ the majority of Australians. One Nation’s federal policy puts the needs of small and medium businesses first and Sharon advocates for Timely Payment to enforce faster payment to businesses and to revoke any Free Trade Agreements that are not in Australians best interest.
“I believe it’s the middle class working families who are the back bone of this country that seem to be forgotten”.
One Nation’s United Nations and Free Trade Policy: Review and revoke any Free Trade Agreements that are not in Australia’s best interest. We will not let the United Nations dictate to our politicians how to run our country. We will revitalise our own manufacturing and trade industries and leave the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) if it proves to be detrimental to Australia. We uphold the Australian Constitution.
Sharon has also been witness to the many families affected from drug use which in hand causes family breakdown, loss of employment and eventually results in issues regarding Child Support and Family Law. One Nation is the only political party willing to address these issues with their policy of The Ice Epidemic and Family Law and Child Support
One Nation’s Ice Epidemic Policy: Build rehab facilities for addicted drug users to alleviate pressure on our hospital facilities. Treatment to be funded through the seizure of assets and money from the proceeds of drug crimes. Life sentences for large illicit drug manufacturers and drug kingpins. Empower parents, with a judge’s consent, the ability to institutionalise drug addicted children (regardless of age) for treatment.
One Nation’s Family Law and Child Support Policy: We believe that support must be given to both parents through a fairer family law and child support system. Many parents are denied access to their children, with many committing suicide. Children have a right to have both parents involved in their life if the parents are deemed to be fit and able.
Sharon believes we must do everything in our power to stop suicide and mental health issues that are associated with these issues.
Sharon believes political correctness has stifled proactive government and the return to a respectful and common sense approach to politics is essential. Sharon endeavours to diligently campaign for the everyday Australian and their families in the electorate for Blair, with determination to return Australia back to an economic powerhouse with One Nation strong and fair policies that will ensure our great nation thrives for generations to come.
Sharon is determined to hear firsthand from the people in the Blair electorate and have a true understanding of their concerns for the Australian people whilst educating the people of Bair of One Nations Policies that the two major parties continue to mislead and distort. Sharon is convinced once hearing of One Nation’s common-sense policies people would entrust their vote to bring back Australian Values for all Australians. Sharon believes One Nation will put Australians first, however we need your support. One Nation CAN make a difference if they hold the balance of power in Government and make the next Government accountable to the people who they work for.
