Born in Leeton, NSW, Travis moved to WA at a very young age. Travis has spent most of his early life in and around the Brand area. Growing up in Mandurah, Travis has had a deep involvement with club sports in the Mandurah and Rockingham areas. His early employment in the Construction industry saw him heavily embedded across the community building houses around the Rockingham and Southern Suburbs of Perth.
Travis has traveled extensively in and out of Brand and sees a number of issues that previous governments have continued to fail to address. Travis believes One Nation’s policy to cut immigration to zero-net levels is of great importance.
“We have overloaded infrastructure that is getting worse with uncontrolled growth and unsustainable immigration numbers. It is putting huge pressure on our existing roads, hospitals, schools and police which are already struggling to keep up.”
Travis is married with 3 children with one child living with his ex-wife. Being a very open and straight forward person, Travis has great concerns that the impact that Political Correctness is having on the Education system and employment opportunities for his family and the other young families in the Brand Electorate.
After leaving the construction industry Travis worked doing Mine site Security and Drug and Alcohol Testing, and when not doing FIFO he ran a small business as a Wedding Entertainer primarily working South of the River. Whilst working FIFO Travis experienced the harsh lifestyle that comes with working away. He has seen how both Labor and Liberal Governments keep looking to extract extra money from those who are working hard to feed their families and get ahead in life.
He has seen how these hardworking men and women are constantly been penalized for their dedication to their families. He has seen how more and more site critical jobs are now been given to people who are not the best person for the job but to fill up quotas. Political Correctness has no place in dangerous places of employments, such as Mine sites. Travis will also be working to push for One Nation’s fairer Tax System
When Travis was very young, he witnessed his parents separation and the strain it places on family units. This strain is increased by dealings with the Family Law Courts and Child Support Agency. He also has firsthand experience with the Family Law Courts System many years later, after his first marriage ended in separation.
These experiences are one of the leading factors, among many, that made Travis join the Pauline Hanson One Nation team and help push for a total overhaul of the Family Law Courts and Child Support Agency. To Travis, this is of great importance as its now a matter of life and death to a lot of Fathers out there that feel they have no other option but to take their own lives. This needs to be stopped.
In January 2015 Travis suffered a major Motorbike accident. This has left him with damage to his back that affects his ability to walk properly. With his wife forced back to work 3 months after giving birth to their youngest child to make ends meet, Travis knows what it is like to live on a Disability Pension covering bills fortnight to fortnight.
Through Travis’s Life experiences, he has learnt that Labor and Liberals are 2 sides of the same coin, and voting for either one doesn’t change our politics. He decided that enough is enough. It’s time to stand up for Australia and Australians that have been screwed over by the current political parties. He will be pushing for a reform into the Family Law Courts, and the Child Support System, and the rewarding of custody of children. He will also be calling for the Government to increase the Aged Pension and Disability support pension to be increased by $150/ fortnight, a staple One Nation policy. Australia has one of the worlds highest rate of elderly living below the poverty line.
Travis will be working hard to end the PC rubbish that is been pushed from parliament and into all aspects of Australia life. Australia was built by hard working men and women from all walks of life, we had a reputation for been a hard, sturdy and reliable people. Now our institutions are being taken over by people that are offended at a drop of a hat. We need hard working, reliable people to save this country we all call home and Travis promises to fight for your voice if chosen as the representative for Brand.
