MRI BOOST FOR WA

MORE MRI's FOR AUSTRALIA | Right now, there are more than 30-thousand people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder who have to travel to Perth by car, bus, train or plane in order to get an MRI scan.If you don’t already know, that’s a 600 kilometre journey-one way- just to get an MRI.The State LABOR Government had already set aside three million dollars to buy the machine and install it at Kalgoorlie Regional Health Campus. But guess what? The state LABOR government is now saying it will take up to TWO YEARS before the machine is installed. How is THAT saving lives? #AusPols #OneNation #PeterGeorgiou

Factor in the situation in Western Queensland where those in Longreach must travel 700km to North Rockhampton for MRI or those in Winton who must travel 880km to North Rockhampton for MRI. Add into the mix those who need dialysis and the Queensland Minister for Health refuses to have dialysis machines installed in either Longreach or Emerald Hospitals, thus patients must travel those distances to Rockhampton for treatment up to several times a week.
