  • I’m not a career politician—I’m a worker, a veteran, and a proud Tasmanian. It’s time we put people power back into parliament.

Christopher Methorst is One Nation’s candidate for Braddon, a proud Tasmanian, former Australian soldier, and passionate advocate for working families and regional communities.

Born in Launceston and raised in Scottsdale and Devonport, Chris carries with him the small-town values of hard work, respect, and standing up for what’s right—values that shaped his military service and continue to drive his commitment to public life. At 19, he joined the Australian Army, serving full-time for seven years and later as a reservist for another three. His time in the military instilled a deep sense of patriotism, resilience, and a lifelong dedication to service.

After his time in defence, Chris built a career across construction, mining, disability support, and community coaching. He’s worked in both government and private sectors, owned a small business, and understands the real pressures families face—whether it’s juggling multiple jobs, navigating health challenges, or trying to support children through a struggling healthcare system.

Chris knows firsthand that the major parties have lost touch with ordinary Australians. He’s watched governments neglect our rural communities, overburden our schools and hospitals, and allow cost-of-living pressures to spiral out of control. He believes in putting people before politics, and in returning power to everyday Australians.

Chris is standing with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation to rebuild essential services, support farmers and small business, ease cost-of-living pressures, and strengthen families and communities across Braddon. He’s committed to practical, common-sense policies that get results—not lip service.

Christopher Methorst isn’t a career politician. He’s a father, a worker, and a veteran who knows what matters. He’s ready to be a strong voice for the people of Braddon—because he is one of them.
