  • We need real solutions, not spin. I’ll fight for the people of Hughes—to lower costs, protect our freedoms, and bring back Australian jobs.

Deborah Swinbourn is Pauline Hanson’s One Nation candidate for the federal seat of Hughes. A sixth-generation Australian, Deborah has lived in the electorate for over 23 years. With more than 30 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, she brings a wealth of practical knowledge and real-world problem-solving to the political arena.

Deborah is the youngest of nine children from a working-class background and a proud mother. She understands the challenges facing families today particularly the rising cost of living, housing affordability and energy prices. Having previously run as an Independent in the 2024 NSW State Election for Holsworthy, she’s already a recognised voice in the community and is passionate about delivering real outcomes for Australians.

Deborah believes Australia must pause mass migration until housing, hospitals and essential services can cope. She’s seen firsthand how unchecked immigration has contributed to housing shortages, strained infrastructure and placed increasing pressure on local communities.

She is also a strong supporter of energy reform. Deborah backs affordable, reliable coal and gas power and opposes net-zero targets that she says are driving up power prices and making life harder for families and small businesses.

It’s unacceptable that people in a country as resource-rich as Australia are struggling to afford electricity, food and housing. We need change and we need it now.

Deborah also believes in rebuilding Australian manufacturing, securing supply chains and prioritising Australian workers for Australian jobs. She supports policies that will create apprenticeships and long-term employment opportunities, particularly in local industries.

A firm believer in individual freedoms, Deborah opposes government overreach and mandates that infringe on personal choice. She stands proudly for national sovereignty, family values and practical, common-sense governance.

With deep roots in Hughes and a strong commitment to her community, Deborah is ready to be a strong voice in Parliament for the everyday Australians who are too often ignored by the major parties.
