  • I’ve seen how government policies can crush farmers and tradies. I’m standing with One Nation to fight for the people who keep Australia running.

Athol Thomas is One Nation’s candidate for Indi, bringing hands-on experience, common sense and a deep understanding of regional life. Living in Tawonga in the Keiwa Valley, Athol learned the value of hard work early, later becoming a qualified heavy plant mechanic, a trade he still works in today. He also runs a small beef farm, staying true to his rural roots and Australia’s farming heritage.

Athol is stepping forward because he’s seen firsthand how government decisions impact everyday Australians, especially those in rural communities. From skyrocketing energy bills and unaffordable groceries to foreign ownership of land, he believes rural Australia is being overlooked.

With One Nation, Athol is fighting to protect Australian land, industries and families. He supports banning foreign ownership of residential properties, reducing immigration to ease housing demand and freeing up land for farming and homes.

He’s passionate about easing the cost-of-living pressures, improving healthcare access in the bush and letting pensioners work without penalty.

I’m not here for Canberra politics,” Athol says. “I’m here to represent the people of Indi who keep this country going.
