Fifteen months ago I asked the Australian Electoral Commission questions around election integrity. I was expecting to have my questions answered and to be reassured our elections were safe. Instead I had bland assurances everything was safe and elections were audited. Proof of those audits was never provided.

What was supposed to be a scheme to help communities in need get the proper health care they deserve has turned into a multi-million dollar handout and the government has tried to hide its failure by importing doctors from overseas. Have you ever heard a better example of how our failed governments operate than this?

So far Anthony Albanese has said he will copy Hawke, Howard and now Palaszczuk, so I have to ask why is he so scared of just being himself? The answer? I believe Anthony Albanese is worried that voters won't like the real Albanese.

Rural and regional communities provide the raw resources, food, and minerals, that this country relies on to survive. The revenue they generate props up our entire economy and helps pay for the free schools, hospitals and roads people in the capital cities take for granted. It is high time the Liberals, Labor and Greens recognised that rural and regional communities deserve our support, not hypocrisy.

The Queensland government reversed course yesterday, lifting mandates on most venues, despite last week labelling anyone who questioned them as an anti-vaxxer. The corporate media have, of course, gone nuts, burying their lead with alarmist headlines on skyrocketing case numbers, deaths and new variants. Ho hum. Some things never change. What no media outlet will say, however, is that this unexpected ‘change of heart’ was almost certainly sparked by last week’s protests against the Bill extending emergency powers/measures for another six months.

From April 14th vaccine mandates are partially eased for many Queenslanders. I and the One Nation team are proud of the work we have done but we haven't done it alone. I'd like to thank the more than 200,000 Aussies who signed the One Nation petition against vaccine mandates and the more than 40,000 Aussies who have signed the One Nation petition calling for an investigation into this pandemic. It is through continued pressure, both in parliament and in our communities that we have been able to begin the process of restoring our freedoms and removing these draconian mandates. Thank you for your help and support. If we keep fighting this together I am confident we will win!

No Safety Without Freedom

Once upon a time, most Australians would have agreed that freedom as a value was something to be treasured above all else, even safety. Sadly, decades of government propaganda on the need to subordinate freedom to safety, has left its mark on the national psyche. Anyone who values freedom or wishes to live freely is increasingly being marginalised and spoken of as a ‘risk’ or ‘danger’ to others. It is a dangerous way of thinking, and the corrosive effects it has had on people’s minds is especially evident amongst those under 40. In the past, the first question people asked when a new law was proposed, was ‘does it infringe on my freedom?' Today, the only question anyone asks is, ‘Will it make us Safer?’
