Just when you thought the far-left media couldn’t sink any lower, the ABC has plumbed new depths of depravity by featuring – and refusing to take down or apologise for – a short film depicting some idiot’s perverted fantasy of torturing Gina Rinehart.

Why the hell are taxpayers still funding the ABC when it permits and even defends this sort of vile behaviour?

It’s just the latest controversy to hit the heavily biassed and completely unaccountable ABC, giving more impetus to calls to defund the so-called ‘national broadcaster’.

One Nation’s policy will withdraw taxpayer funding for the ABC’s operations in large markets already saturated with media organisations across the political spectrum, while continuing to fund some of the ABC’s operations in regional, rural and remote areas where there is a significantly reduced commercial media presence. If people in the cities want to consume ABC material, they’ll have to pay a subscription.

We expect this will save Australian taxpayers up to a billion dollars per year.

In days long past, the ABC used to set the benchmark in unbiased, objective news and current affairs. Somewhere along the line, things changed for the worse. The ABC has lost its social licence, lost much of its audience, and thrown away any claim to integrity.
