Petition Demanding a Royal Commission into the Bondi Terror Attack and National Security Failures

To the Honourable the President and Members of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Australia

The petition of the undersigned respectfully shows:

Australia has suffered its deadliest terror attack at Bondi, an event that has exposed serious failures by the Albanese Labor government in national security, public safety, and government oversight.

A Royal Commission is required to fully investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and the systems that failed to prevent it.

The terms of reference must include examination of the character of individuals permitted to enter Australia, the operation of citizenship and immigration processes, and whether current settings properly assess compatibility with Australian laws, values, and culture.

The actions and potential failures of police, intelligence agencies, and political decision-makers must be examined, including the failure to stop terrorist chants and violent speech in public spaces, Islamic prayer halls, and mosques.

Any Royal Commission that excludes these matters would fail to address the real causes of the attack and would constitute a waste of taxpayers’ money.

The Prime Minister’s refusal to establish such a Royal Commission raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability.

Your petitioners therefore respectfully request that the Senate:

Call on the Australian Government to immediately establish a Royal Commission into the Bondi terror attack with strong and targeted terms of reference addressing immigration, citizenship, cultural compatibility, Islamic extremism, and institutional accountability. Also, the terms of reference must also consider potential failures of policing and intelligence agencies, political decision-makers, and the unwillingness to stop terrorist chants or violent speech in public spaces, Islamic prayer halls, and mosques.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
