He makes sensible comments about the recent polls. Some have us out in front, while others have us just behind Labor. All have us a long way in front of the Liberals! We’re still a long way away from the federal election, though, and it’s a fool’s game reading too much into polls. Sections of the political and media elite are so desperate for any sign that One Nation is going to fade away and for signs that their cosy political world isn’t under threat. A poll showing us dipping by two points is greeted as a seismic moment, supposedly precipitating our decline as a political force. What utter nonsense.
