Real Democracy in Action – Crypto Survey
Cryptocurrency is fast becoming one of the most talked-about issues in Australia, with debates heating up around how it's used, how secure it is, and how government should respond. From Bitcoin to blockchain, these topics are set to appear on the agenda in the next sitting of federal parliament. At One Nation, we believe the first and most important step in any national conversation like this is to ask everyday Australians what they think.
That’s why we’ve launched a short survey on cryptocurrency and blockchain. It’s designed to gauge how well people understand these technologies, whether they use them, and what kind of public policy approach they believe the government should take. Whether you’re deeply invested in crypto or just starting to learn about it, your voice matters. The survey takes less than a minute to complete.
What makes this different from the usual political process is that we aren’t interested in what big tech or financial lobbyists have to say, and we’re not taking our cues from overseas bureaucrats or media headlines. We want to hear from real Australians, people who work, raise families, run small businesses, and think seriously about the future of our economy and financial freedom.
Some people believe cryptocurrency has the power to drive innovation and boost the Australian economy. Others are more cautious and think it needs tighter regulation to prevent scams or instability. There are also those who worry it could be used for criminal activity, while some see it as a tool to reduce dependence on global financial systems. All of these views deserve to be heard, and that’s what this survey is about.
We’ve also included space for you to tell us anything we haven’t covered. It’s not just a multiple-choice quiz, it’s a chance for you to add your own perspective. Your input will help shape how we raise these matters in parliament and how we push back against decisions being made without proper public input.
One Nation has always stood for listening to Australians before rushing into legislation or regulation, and crypto is no exception. This is an issue that touches on privacy, financial independence, national sovereignty and the direction of Australia’s digital future. Before we lock ourselves into policies that may benefit global banks or multinational tech firms, we need to know what Australians want.
If you care about how Australia deals with cryptocurrency, now is the time to speak up. Take the survey and have your say.
