Our rise in the polls these past few months has kept us extraordinarily busy at One Nation, signing up thousands of new members and preparing big election campaigns.

It almost slipped by us that this week marked the 10th anniversary of the 2016 double-dissolution election at which Pauline Hanson and Malcolm Roberts were elected as Senators for Queensland.

Pauline’s been the most recognisable leader in Australian politics for 30 years but for only 12 of these has she actually sat in Parliament (two were as the Member for Oxley). Malcolm had to leave the Senate during the so-called citizenship crisis of 1917, but he’s shown he has what it takes and he’s successfully contested three elections.

Today, One Nation is stronger than ever with 16 members of parliaments in Canberra, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia, and more members than any other political party in the country. It’s important we never forget that Pauline and Malcolm alone carried the torch for such a long time, building the foundation for what is to come.
