One Nation Raises Free Speech Concerns Over Digital Duty of Care Bill

Some signs that the backlash against Albo’s sinister anti-free-speech Digital Duty of Care Bill may be having some effect. Under the initial plans, Albo’s Communications Minister would have had extraordinary powers to judge what she interprets as being harmful online. It now seems that she may not gain this power after all.
Linking this change in policy to Labor responding to public anger may be giving them too much credit, though. It seems likely that the change in policy is actually the perfect illustration of the power the Greens exert over this Labor government.
What remains of the Digital Duty of Care Bill remains a threat to our democracy and free speech, and it must be taken off the agenda completely. One Nation is squarely against this Bill in its entirety and the Government’s eSafety Commissioner!
