Australia cannot be self-reliant while relying on overseas refineries and imported fuel to keep our farms, trucks and food supply moving.

Every disruption overseas flows directly into higher costs for Australian families. A country that depends on foreign fuel is not energy secure, food secure or economically secure.

Without fuel self-reliance, Australia remains vulnerable to every international crisis. 

Years of net-zero policies have contributed to the decline of domestic refining capacity and increased Australia's vulnerability to overseas fuel supply chains.

One Nation believes Australia must become fuel self-reliant again.

That means rebuilding refining capacity, increasing domestic fuel reserves and ensuring Australian resources are used to benefit Australians first.

A more self-reliant fuel system protects farmers, truck drivers, manufacturers and families from overseas disruptions. Fuel self-reliance is national resilience.

Fuel self-reliance requires Australia to put our own needs first and end the net-zero policies that discourage domestic fuel production and refining.
