Caller Backs Pauline Hanson’s Push to Outlaw Burning the Flag
During a radio discussion, a caller raised Senator Pauline Hanson’s recent Senate motion to make burning or desecrating the Australian flag a criminal offence — a motion that was blocked by Labor. The caller said flag-burning is “inciting violence towards the Australian people” and urged South Australians to voice their concerns to their MPs. While it is not currently illegal in Australia, the caller agreed with Hanson that it should be, arguing the flag is a national symbol that deserves respect and protection.
