Pauline Hanson Calls for Major Cut to Immigration
Senator Pauline Hanson, leader of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, has reiterated her call to drastically reduce immigration, arguing that record intake levels are fuelling Australia’s housing crisis, straining health services, and undermining job opportunities for locals. Hanson said the current pace of migration—over half a million arrivals annually—must be wound back to around 130,000–160,000 people per year. She warned that without urgent action, Australians will face worsening rental shortages, higher costs of living, and declining national standards.
