Critics Say Australia Ignores Evidence as Senator Pauline Hanson Demands Action on Transgender Care

The truth was revealed on 2SM Sydney's Talk Overnight: the Victorian Labor Government is now teaching five-year-olds that their body parts may not correspond with their gender. Five! The government wants to impose radical gender ideology on these children, who are still learning to read, write, and count, even claiming that it is "natural and normal" for boys to participate in girls' sports.

This is indoctrination, not education. Additionally, it is endangering our young girls in both their athletic and personal lives. The premier uses the 15% higher suicide rate among transgender children as justification for this insanity. However, this is deceptive fear-mongering. This narrative has been shattered by the UK's Cass Report, an independent and thorough investigation into transgender medical treatment. Due to their irreversible effects and the total lack of long-term evidence, puberty blockers were banned in Britain as a result of that investigation. The so-called "suicide statistic" that was used to support these policies has no evidence, according to the Cass Report, which also cautions that children who have irreversible surgeries or hormone blockers may be at an increased risk of suicide.

I've repeatedly called for a Senate investigation into gender dysphoria treatments and how they affect women's sports. Every time, the Greens, Labor, and Liberals have united to put an end to it. The truth is not what they want Australians to hear. Our governments are risking the mental and physical well-being of our children who are at risk by disregarding the global evidence, while also jeopardising the safety and equity of women's sports.

This is about political ideology taking precedence over common sense, safety, and science, not about compassion. I will not watch helplessly as activists use our children as test subjects. I will continue to advocate for women, parents, and the truth, and I will continue to insist on this investigation until we receive it. Australia, it's time to safeguard our kids, make women's sports more equitable, and quit using classrooms as political arenas.
