The Irwin family has been spotted for the first time since a controversial cartoon of Robert was released.

They were seen at Brisbane airport heading to Tasmania on Monday, four days after One Nation uploaded the political satire video using Robert and Bluey's likeness to slam the state government.

One Nation refused to remove the video and told Robert, 20, to ‘lighten up' after he threatened legal action.

The family's appearance at the airport came as Premier Steven Miles said: “I'm fair game but Robert Irwin and Bluey are not.

“I think it just underlines how irresponsible Pauline Hanson is in pursuing media and headlines for her own game,” he said. “If she was the kind of person who did the right thing she'd take it down, but she's not that kind of person.”

On Monday night, the son of iconic wildlife legend Steve Irwin shared a picture of his dad to Instagram - a day after Father's Day in the US.

He captioned the post: “Thanks for always being my biggest inspiration through life, love you Dad.”
