Labor's 'aspirational' Budget goes down like a lead balloon

Sorry Jim Chalmers, but no matter how much you spin it the 2026 Budget has been universally panned as one of the worst in decades.

A litany of broken promises. Death taxes. Crippling entrepreneurship and investment. Driving up rents, inflation and interest rates. Failure to arrest bracket creep.
And - of course - increased immigration in the middle of a national housing crisis.
Labor's polling fortunes have taken a huge dive after the Budget as Australians of all ages - particularly young people struggling to get ahead - are no longer buying their lies.
Bring on the next election!
