Mark Burns: One Nation’s Voice for the Mid West

Dongara local and One Nation candidate Mark Burns is bringing decades of experience in business and the mining sector to the political arena, vowing to put everyday West Australians first.

With a strong background in hospitality, business development, and mining, 61-year-old Burns says he has seen firsthand what policies help industries thrive—and which ones hold them back.

"I am a family man with three kids, grounded in traditional values, and passionate about our Mid West," Burns said. "One Nation WA is about sensible government—less red tape, less overreach, and a business climate that actually supports growth."

A key concern for Burns is private property rights, which he believes are under threat from radical left policies, including the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act and climate change regulations. He is also calling for stronger action on youth crime in the Mid West, advocating for practical solutions such as jobs, training, and on-country rehabilitation.

"A vote for One Nation WA is a vote for balance—pragmatism over leftist ideology," Burns said. "We need policies that work for all of us, not just the political elite. I will always put everyday West Aussies first."
