Taking to the streets for migrant debate

On Sunday, 21 August, Australians turned out in their thousands for the nationwide March for Australia rallies, voicing growing frustration over the Albanese government’s unchecked mass immigration policies. Local events in Yeppoon and Rockhampton drew hundreds waving Australian flags in a proud, peaceful show of unity and concern for the nation’s future.

In Yeppoon, an estimated 700 to 1000 attendees joined the grassroots march along James Street and Anzac Parade. One of them, Barbara Mavridis, a Greek-born grandmother visiting from South Australia, said she was moved by the scale of the event and the strength of community spirit.
