Indigenous ‘Ambassador’ Racking up the Frequent Flier Points
The Labor government’s creation of the $13.6 million 'Ambassador for First Nations People' has been criticized for its lack of impact on closing the gap or addressing community issues. The role, appointed in March 2023, has cost taxpayers $150,000 in travel and a $300,000+ salary, while achieving little beyond foreign trips.
