Many of the NFL fans who attended the game last week were understandably baffled. The Welcome to Country was a bizarre spectacle. 

This event was a big moment for Melbourne and one of the first times an NFL match had been hosted outside the United States. How embarrassing that, instead of being welcomed to Melbourne, the fans and players were welcomed to “Naarm”. When will the silliness ever stop?
