Freedom Over Control: Why One Nation Rejects the Authoritarian Left

The American left, in their hyperventilating state, have launched a ‘no kings’ campaign, falsely claiming that President Donald Trump is dragging the United States towards an absolute monarchy.

The truth is, absolute control over people’s lives is a hallmark of the political left and their allies, whether in America, here in Australia, or anywhere else around the world.

At home, we’ve seen many attempts, often successful, by the left to exert control over private lives.

As a democratic party, our advice is simple: always stay vigilant when freedom is being eroded. Always stand up for freedom. And always vote for those who will defend it.

Control takes many forms, and the left aren’t the only ones who crave it. Economic, religious, and cultural mechanisms are all used by bad actors to shape and dominate the lives of everyday Australians.

People who seek to control you will do it through things like government ‘subsidies’, energy policy, and even by dictating how and where you can use your currency.

But the worst form of control is through smear and personal attack. While the left often lead the charge with these tactics, the truth is, people across the political spectrum resort to them. The aim is always the same: to manipulate how you think and how you view their opponents.

Reject those who try to dictate how you live your life. Reject bad-faith actors who resort to slurs and poison when facing their political rivals.

Pauline Hanson always leads by example. Sure, she might bite back when some galah takes a swipe, but she ultimately rises above the noise. She doesn’t stoop to cheap shots or playground tactics.

The One Nation way is clear: look after our people, our supporters, those who’ve stood with us year after year. We fight for freedom for all Australians. And we reject control in every form it takes.
