One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts has discussed the party's economic policies and called out the major parties for their "sheer laziness, stupidity, gutlessness" in addressing the country's economic challenges.

Speaking to Sky News host Danica De Giorgio, Mr Roberts weighed in on the significance of the upcoming federal election as Australians are set to head to the polls on May 3.

“We want is whatever is in the best interest of Australia,” he told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“Both the major parties have copied some of our policies … because our policies are resonating with the electorate.

“The key problem in our economy, the key problem in our whole society, is the sheer laziness, stupidity, gutlessness of both Liberal and Labor politicians. They won't do the things that people want them to do.”
