Pauline Hanson: Slash Immigration to Fix Housing Crisis | Urgent Budget Response
One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson has renewed her call to drastically reduce Australia’s immigration intake, warning that the current levels are unsustainable and directly fuelling the housing crisis. In response to the 2024 federal budget, Senator Hanson says net overseas migration must be cut to around 130,000 per year to ease pressure on housing, rentals, and infrastructure.
While the Labor government forecasts 335,000 new arrivals this year, and the Coalition hints at lower figures, Hanson insists more drastic action is needed now. Should Australia pause migration altogether to get back on track?
