Proven Local Leaders

As reported in the Bunyip Newspaper, South Australia, two well known local councillors are stepping up to give the north a stronger voice at the next state election.

City of Playford Councillors David Kerrison and Peter Rentoulis have been pre selected as Pauline Hanson’s One Nation candidates, bringing real local government experience and deep community ties into the race. Kerrison will contest King, while Rentoulis will run in Taylor, covering a broad stretch of Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

Both candidates are already familiar faces to residents, with years spent dealing with planning, infrastructure, community safety and the day to day issues families actually care about. This is not politics by theory. It is politics by lived experience.

Kerrison says his decision comes down to leadership that listens locally, not ideologically. He says South Australians deserve leaders who “put local people first” and reflect the values and way of life of their own communities, warning that without change, Labor will simply roll on with policies many feel miss the mark for everyday Australians.

Rentoulis is motivated by the pressure hitting households hard. He points to rising electricity bills, grocery prices and the growing reality that young Australians are being priced out of owning a home. He says One Nation’s policies offer a genuine circuit breaker, adding that they are designed to “make people’s lives significantly better”, particularly for families and small businesses doing it tough.

Both men have committed to spending the coming months out in their communities, listening, learning and encouraging locals to be part of the conversation. No ivory towers. No disappearing act after election day.

In short, experienced councillors, strong local roots and a clear focus on cost of living and community first leadership. Not a bad start at all.
