Carlos Quaremba to Lead One Nation’s Upper House Push in South Australia

Victor Harbor councillor and One Nation state president Carlos Quaremba has been announced as the party’s lead candidate for South Australia’s Legislative Council in the 2026 state election. Joined by Senator Pauline Hanson in Adelaide for the announcement, Mr Quaremba pledged to hold the government accountable, tackle the cost-of-living and housing crises, and “dismantle net zero” policies that he says are punishing everyday South Australians.

Quaremba highlighted the ongoing pressure on electricity prices and housing availability, saying One Nation will deliver practical solutions to improve education, health, and local government reform. “People are still struggling to find affordable, secure homes. Electricity bills are rising with no end in sight,” he said. As a current councillor, he also committed to strengthening democracy in local government and lowering rates. “Enough is enough. It’s time for One Nation in South Australia.”

Senator Hanson described Quaremba as a strong leader who is “passionate about a prosperous and free South Australia” and someone who “won’t drop an issue until they get answers.” She added, “Conservative voters are looking for true representation, and Carlos is a leader who will deliver.”
