Only political parties may register scrutineers for the 2023 racial referendum

To keep this referendum honest and transparent, we need volunteers across Australia to scrutineer on referendum day - October 14. A scrutineer watches ballots as they are counted, but they must follow certain rules. If you want to scrutineer it is important you know the rules for the referendum, and what you can and can't do.

We know how engaged, polite, enthusiastic, and bright our volunteers are. Not that we need to remind people loyal to Pauline Hanson and her party, but it is important that scrutineers from all sides of this divisive debate are polite and courteous, as you will be appointed by our party we expect you to behave in a way that will make us all proud.
