Mr Sixteen Percent steals One Nation policies, then attacks them
Poor old Angus Taylor, the Opposition leader whom only 16% of Australians prefer as Prime Minister.
Earlier this year he was handed the poisoned chalice, otherwise known as ‘leadership of the Liberal Party’. The chalice was dull, tarnished and almost completely empty after a bruising defeat in the 2025 election and the poor performance of his predecessor, Sussan Ley.
Taylor’s job as Opposition leader is to hold the toxic socialist Albanese Labor government to proper account and present a viable alternative government to the Australian people. Instead, all he can do is attack One Nation.
In a speech this week he went off the deep end, saying One Nation’s policies would cause an “eternity of pain”. These are the same policies he’s adopted in his ham-fisted attempt to arrest the Coalition’s slide into oblivion. The next morning – when confronted with this fact – he said he didn’t know what the interviewer was talking about, then said the Coalition would pay for One Nation’s policies with another One Nation policy, cutting net zero.
Taylor needs to understand who the real enemy is. It’s not One Nation. It’s the Albanese Labor government and their partners in crime, the Greens. While we wait for the Coalition to come to its senses, One Nation will calmly keep setting the political agenda in Australia.
