Country of origin labelling should be extended to timber products. The Australian timber industry supports 100,000 jobs in Australia, mostly in regional Australia. To ensure that Aussie timber isn’t undercut by cheap foreign timber imports, we need to ensure we have this labelling. It has long been called for by the Aussie timber industry and Aussie workers whose jobs depend on the industry. One Nation would hear their call and put quality Aussie timber first, supporting regional Australia and hundreds of thousands of Aussie jobs.
