There are calls for security guards to have greater access to protection while at work to help keep the public safe. I'd also like to see the public protected from legal repercussions if they're defending themselves in their own home. How can 'equal force' be applied when a 70 year old women is faced with a threatening 15 year old in her own home? The laws are not keeping pace with modern threats to public safety.
