One Nation Immigration Plan Targets Family Visas for Overseas Students
Under our new immigration plan, overseas students will not be allowed to bring family members with them when they study in Australia. The only exception will be for postgraduate students on a new high-value study visa that we will bring in. These high-value visas will apply to a select list of courses that are regarded as being in the national interest and where skills and expertise from abroad are judged as being beneficial for Australia.
If overseas students want to come to Australia by themselves and study serious courses and are genuine students, fine. The reality has been very different, though.
This is one of the many steps we will be taking as part of our immigration plan that will lead to a dramatic reduction in immigration.
Only One Nation can be trusted to manage immigration in a way that puts the national interest first.
