Tasmania State Registration Update

We wanted to provide you with an update on the exciting progress being made as we continue building One Nation in Tasmania.

Tasmania State Registration Update

As many of you will have seen, the names and addresses of the 100 members who completed statutory declarations were published in Tasmanian newspapers on the 24 June 2026.

Our application is now in the formal objection period, which remains open until 24 July 2026.

Following the close of this period, the Tasmanian Electoral Commission has up to 21 days to consider any objections before making a determination to either approve or reject our application for registration.

Based on the current timeframe, we anticipate an outcome by the end of August 2026.

This is an enormous milestone, and it would not have been possible without the commitment of our members right across Tasmania.

To everyone who signed a statutory declaration, volunteered their time, attended branch meetings, helped spread the word or simply continued supporting our movement—thank you.

As we often say, it takes a team, and this achievement belongs to every one of you.

Tasmanian State Executive

Another major milestone has also been reached.

Our new Tasmanian State Executive is now up and running.

While the registration process has been underway, we certainly have not been standing still. We received expressions of interest from an outstanding calibre of members from across the state to help lead the next chapter of One Nation Tasmania.

Recently, we reached out seeking interest in the role of Treasurer. Thank you to everyone who responded. You heard the call, and we are now in the final stages of interviewing for this important position, which will be filled shortly.

The State Executive has already begun laying the foundations for a strong and professional state organisation.

Current priorities include:

  • Establishing governance and operational frameworks.

  • Ensuring full compliance with Tasmanian Electoral Commission requirements.

  • Strengthening our communications, social media presence and developing a new One Nation Tasmania website.

  • Developing state strategy, policy priorities and procedures for selecting and supporting candidates.

  • Planning for our official post-registration launch.

Your Tasmanian State Executive

  • Lee Hanson – President

  • Cathy Griggs – Secretary

  • Geoffrey Rayner – Registered Officer

  • Treasurer – To Be Confirmed

  • General Members – Several members serving across the Executive.

The Latest Tasmanian Polling

There is more encouraging news.

The latest DemosAU Tasmanian State Poll has One Nation sitting on 21% support.

This is an extraordinary result considering we are not yet officially registered as a Tasmanian political party and currently have no Members of Parliament in the Tasmanian Parliament.

The message is clear.

Many Tasmanians feel abandoned by the major parties and are looking for an alternative that represents common sense, practical solutions and puts Tasmania first. This is One Nation.

These results are a reflection of the hard work being undertaken by our members, volunteers and branch teams across the state.

Together, we are building the foundations for a movement that can genuinely make a difference.

Thank you once again for your continued support, commitment and belief in what we are building together.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but the momentum is growing every week, and none of it would be possible without our members.

We look forward to keeping you updated as we continue reaching each milestone, including our registration outcome, the launch of the new Tasmania One Nation website, state policy development and opportunities for you to get involved.

Together, we are building something Tasmania has been waiting for.

Go Team Orange!
